On our personal quest for better health and a more sustainable lifestyle, we realised that eating healthy food and not using chemicals in the house still doesn’t cut it if we spend 1/3 of our day with our head on a toxic pillow.
So we decided to do better and find a healthier option. One without the off-gassing VOCs that are so detrimental to our health. One that wouldn’t pollute the earth and didn’t involve animal cruelty.
After much searching we discovered Kapok. The magical floss from a tree that grows naturally, abundantly and completely in the wild. Read more about Kapok here. It’s been used for centuries in South East Asia, and globally, as a fill for pillows, bolsters and mattresses. Only recently has it been traded for the cheap, convenient, and toxic, polyester and petroleum-based memory foam.
We fell in love with Kapok so much so that we decided to do whatever it took to make it available to everyone that is looking for a high quality, comfortable, sustainable and, most importantly, healthy pillow.
